Samantha Sanchez is a lifetime Arizona resident and Tucson native. She attended the University of Arizona for her undergraduate studies, graduating magna cum laude. Samantha spent the months following her graduation studying abroad in Guanajuato, Mexico. While there, she served rural local schools, teaching young students beginning English, as well as a local community resource center aiding victims of domestic violence and other family matters in the Mexican family court.
Samantha attended the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law where she completed seven semesters in various clinical practice settings throughout law school. Samantha received her Juris Doctor in 2017 and graduated having already completed and won trials, including jury and bench trials, as well as evidentiary and other contested hearings.
Post-graduation, Samantha clerked with the Office of Children’s Counsel, where she primarily wrote appellate briefs to the Arizona Court of Appeals and the Arizona Supreme Court. Each brief she wrote and presented to the respective appellate courts were successful on appeal. She later served as a judicial law clerk with the Honorable Kenneth Lee at the Pima County Superior Court, where she drafted numerous rulings for the cCourt and prepared the court for trials across the criminal, civil and probate benches. These experiences together makes Samantha particularly mindful of the court’s view of legal issues and arguments that should be preserved and litigated while any case is at the trial court level.
Samantha practiced criminal law for just over two years before joining Thompson Krone, PLC, in December 2020. Throughout her experience in criminal law, Samantha appeared almost daily before the court. To date, Samantha has completed nine jury trials, as co-counsel, lead counsel, and solo counsel. She brings extensive experience in written and oral advocacy, having appeared countless times in settlement conferences, pre-trial motions hearings, contested evidentiary hearings, and trials, and achieving success at all points of litigation.
