Evan L. Thompson

“I owned my own business before I started practicing law, and I had attorneys who worked for me. To this day, remembering what I really liked – and didn’t like – about those attorneys helps me take care of my clients in a way that I think brings maximum value to my work, and helps my clients recognize and enjoy the qualities of our firm that set us apart from other lawyers.”

A Colorado native and long-time Arizonan, Evan Thompson grew up in the farm country outside of Denver. He is an avid hunter, fisherman, clay shooter and outdoorsman, and he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and close friends. Evan enjoys his home with his wife and two daughters and his hunting dog, Winchester.

As a business attorney, and from his experience as a business owner, Evan counsels from a business perspective. Clients frequently comment that they appreciate his approach to problem solving, and that his proposed solutions look distinctively different than what one might see from more generic, less business-savvy lawyers.

In Evan’s law practice, business owners, developers, entrepreneurs and professionals value his broad experience, personal attention, and ability to see things from their point of view. He advises clients on a broad range of business-related issues, including business formation, structure, operations, transactions strategic planning, employment, risk management, litigation and growth. Evan serves as outside general counsel to small, medium and large companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, medical services, engineering, real estate development, financial services and construction.

Because Evan’s practice encompasses litigation, as well as business transactions and operational issues, he is acutely sensitive to the financial and emotional costs that litigation can inflict on his clients. As a result, he consistently seeks creative and cost-saving opportunities designed to achieve his clients’ defined objectives with the least financial and emotional expense.
